Directions to the Waikiki Surf Club halau

If you're headed Diamond Head (east bound):

Stay on the H-1 freeway till you pass the Punahou off ramp. Navigate your way to the right lane after the cut off. Your will have 2 options first will be Bingham St. or King St. (2 cut off's later).

If you take Bingham:

• You will approach a 3-way intersection but you'll be able to veer right, GO RIGHT onto Isenburg .
• Pass straight through the first traffic light which is Beritania.
  • Landmarks: to the left is a baseball field, to the right is Rudy's florist.
• Pass straight through another traffic light which is King Street (big one way street; no right turn).
  • Landmarks: on the left is First Hawaiian Bank, on the right is Stadium Park and you'll see Bowl-o-Drome in the distance.
• Keep on going straight till the road ends and you're forced to turn right of left. That is Kapiolani Blvd. TURN LEFT.
• Keep to the right because you'll be taking a right at the next light (University).
• You'll be on a street with many condominiums on either side and you'll see a park straight ahead and an elementary school off to the distant left, GO STRIGHT INTO THE PARK.
• Once in the park you'll see a structure housing canoes. That's Surf Club!!

If you take King:

• The second cut off past Bingham is King.
• Take that cut off and keep right but don't turn right. Off ahead of you a Chevron gas station should be visible. You'll need to turn right there.
• Turning right at the Chevron station will put you on Kapiolani Blvd.
• You'll pass straight through 2 traffic lights. Gradually make your way to the left lane because...
• At the third traffic light (University) you'll need to turn left. You'll be on a street with condominiums on either side and you'll see a park ahead. Do not turn left with the street.
• Go straight into the park and you'll see a structure housing canoes both inside and outside. That is Surf Club's halau!

If you're headed Ewa (west-bound):

• From the H-1 take the Kapiolani Blvd. cut off.... actually is a huge off ramp that takes you over the freeway.
• When you are put onto Kapiolani Blvd, you'll want to immediately cut as far left as possible.
• You'll pass through one traffic light (Date St.) and at the next light (University) you'll turn left.
• You'll be on a street that takes you through the condos and ahead you'll be able to see a parking lot for the park. As the street turns left ....
• Go straight into the park.
• Once in the park you'll see a structure housing canoes both inside and outside. That's Surf Club's halau!
